Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Overheight Crane Operator with Magnet to handle material movement in our facility. The operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating an overhead crane equipped with a magnet to lift, transport, and position heavy materials, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate overhead cranes with magnet attachments to move metal materials such as scrap, steel sheets, or other ferrous materials.
- Ensure precise loading and unloading of materials, minimizing damage and optimizing storage.
- Perform pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure equipment functionality.
- Monitor lifting capacities, weight limits, and safety measures during crane operations.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and company policies to prevent workplace hazards.
- Coordinate with the production, logistics, and warehouse teams to streamline material handling.
- Identify and report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of crane operations and material movements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience operating an overhead crane with a magnet.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification in crane operation is preferred.
