Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Execution:

  • Supervise and coordinate all electrical and mechanical installation activities at the project site.
  • Ensure that work is performed according to the project schedule, standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with the development of site-specific work plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Liaise with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure proper material and equipment delivery.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, quality, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Conduct site surveys and evaluations to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
  • Coordinate and supervise site workers, ensuring their safety and compliance with safety regulations.

 

2. Installation & Commissioning:

  • Oversee the installation of electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring quality control.
  • Assist with the commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of systems.
  • Ensure that all work performed adheres to electrical and mechanical standards, including local codes and regulations.

3. Maintenance Activities:

  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Perform corrective maintenance to resolve operational issues and minimize downtime.
  • Assist in managing equipment inventory and ensuring proper maintenance records.
  • Provide technical support and recommendations for the upkeep and improvement of systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis on mechanical/electrical failures and propose corrective actions.

4. Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, IEC, etc.).
  • Conduct safety training and briefings for site personnel.
  • Ensure that all electrical and mechanical works meet required standards and regulations.
  • Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.

5. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including installation, commissioning, and maintenance work.
  • Prepare detailed reports on the project’s progress, including issues, resolutions, and recommendations.
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed for project closeout and handed over to the client as necessary.

6. Coordination and Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the site team and other stakeholders (e.g., project managers, engineering teams, and clients).
  • Facilitate communication between electrical, mechanical, and other project departments to ensure smooth execution.
  • Attend project meetings to provide updates and address any project concerns.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical/mechanical project site execution and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and their operation in a site environment.
  • Familiarity with IS electrical and mechanical codes and regulations.
  • Experience with project planning, resource allocation, and scheduling.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, electrical design software, and project management tools is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of building management systems (BMS) and SCADA systems.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a construction site environment (e.g., exposure to dust, noise, and heights).
  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions.
