Role Objective
Support MetalMandi’s market intelligence and business development efforts by conducting ground-level and desk-based research on scrap (metal/e-waste) sourcing, aggregator networks, competitive landscape, and value chain dynamics in your assigned city.
Key Responsibilities
Market Mapping:
Identify and profile major scrap aggregators, dealers, and value chain players in the assigned city.
Map key clusters, hotspots, and high-volume scrap markets using primary (field visits, interviews) and secondary (web, industry databases) research.
Value Chain Analysis:
Understand sourcing patterns, material flows, pricing models, and supply-demand dynamics in metal and e-waste segments.
Analyze relationships between informal and organized players, barriers to formalization, and opportunities for MetalMandi’s entry or scaling.
Competitive Benchmarking:
Benchmark competing scrap platforms and local dealers: their business models, pricing, digital adoption, and pain points.
Policy & Regulatory Scan:
Track city/state-level regulations impacting scrap trading, recycling, and aggregator operations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Interview scrap aggregators, dealers, and industry associations to gather qualitative and quantitative data.
Present actionable field insights and recommendations to MetalMandi leadership.
Reporting & Presentation:
Prepare structured city-wise market mapping reports, including market sizing, opportunity analysis, and go-to-market suggestions.
Deliver professional presentations to the Director-B2B and management.
