Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Intern to support our IT team in day-to-day technical operations. The intern will gain hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, user support, system administration, hardware and software troubleshooting, and IT asset management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Support user account creation, password resets, and access management.
  • Monitor and maintain IT assets and inventory records.
  • Assist in troubleshooting operating system, application, and connectivity issues.
  • Support software installations, upgrades, and system updates.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Document IT processes, issue resolutions, and technical procedures.
  • Assist in data backup and system security activities.
  • Support implementation of IT policies and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in IT projects and technology improvement initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed B.Tech/B.E., BCA, MCA, B.Sc. (IT/Computer Science), or related field.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Active Directory and user management.
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
  • Exposure to ticketing/helpdesk tools is an added advantage.
