Role Purpose
We are looking for a proactive and execution-oriented HR Generalist to manage end-to-end HR activities at our Roorkee location, with a major focus on Talent Acquisition. The incumbent will be responsible for driving recruitment across plant and support functions while also supporting HR operations, employee lifecycle management, engagement, attendance, documentation, and HR compliance activities.
The role requires strong stakeholder management, recruitment expertise, operational discipline, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition – Major Responsibility (65–70%)
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant, technical, operations, and support-function positions.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to understand manpower requirements, JDs, KRAs, required competencies, and hiring timelines.
  • Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, employee referrals, recruitment consultants, local networks, and other sourcing channels.
  • Conduct initial screening and HR interviews to assess candidate suitability, experience, communication, compensation, and cultural fit.
  • Coordinate technical/functional interviews with respective Hiring Managers and stakeholders.
  • Drive offer discussions, salary negotiations, offer rollouts, and candidate engagement until joining.
  • Maintain and regularly update the recruitment tracker/MIS, including open positions, ageing, pipeline, offers, and joining status.
  • Ensure timely closure of positions while maintaining recruitment quality and agreed TAT.
  • Develop a strong talent pipeline for recurring and critical plant positions.
  • Coordinate with recruitment consultants/vendors and monitor their performance.
  • Conduct recruitment drives and explores local hiring channels, institutes, and industry networks as required.
  • Track key TA metrics such as Time to Hire, Offer-to-Joining Ratio, Position Ageing, Source Effectiveness, and Recruitment TAT.
2. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
  • Manage employee lifecycle activities including joining, onboarding, documentation, confirmation, transfers, and separation processes.
  • Ensure completion and maintenance of employee personal files and HR documentation.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and induction programs for new joiners.
  • Support attendance and leave management and ensure timely reconciliation of attendance data.
  • Coordinate with Corporate HR/Payroll teams for monthly payroll inputs, attendance, leave, new joiners, exits, and other employee changes.
  • Support Full & Final Settlement and exit formalities in coordination with concerned teams.
  • Maintain accurate employee data and records in HRMS.
3. Employee Engagement & HR Support
  • Act as a point of contact for employees for routine HR queries and concerns.
  • Support employee engagement, communication, recognition, and welfare initiatives at the plant.
  • Coordinate employee connects activities and support resolution of employee grievances in consultation with the HR Manager.
  • Conduct periodic employee interactions to understand workplace concerns and improve employee experience.
  • Support implementation of corporate HR initiatives and policies at the Roorkee location.
4. HR Compliance & MIS
  • Ensure HR processes and employee documentation are maintained in accordance with company policies and audit requirements.
  • Support statutory and internal HR audits by maintaining required employee records and documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain regular HR MIS related to headcount, recruitment, attrition, attendance, joining, exits, and manpower status.
  • Ensure adherence to HR SOPs, policies, approval matrices, and documentation standards.

Key Skills & Competencies
  • Strong end-to-end Talent Acquisition experience.
  • Good understanding of HR Operations and employee lifecycle management.
  • Experience in hiring for manufacturing/plant/technical roles will be strongly preferred.
  • Strong sourcing skills using Naukri, LinkedIn, referrals, consultants, and local hiring networks.
  • Good interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
  • Strong stakeholder and Hiring Manager coordination.
  • Good negotiation and candidate engagement capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of attendance, onboarding, HRMS, employee documentation, and separation processes.
  • Strong MS Excel and HR MIS/reporting skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple positions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of HR experience with significant exposure to Talent Acquisition, preferably within a manufacturing, engineering, recycling, automotive, chemical, metals, or industrial environment.
The candidate should be comfortable working from a plant/location-based setup in Roorkee and should have hands-on experience managing recruitment independently while supporting day-to-day HR operations.
